Ieva Stončikaitė es licenciada en Filología Inglesa (con Premio Extraordinario) y Doctora en Gerontología Cultural y Literaria por la Universidad de Lleida (2017). Es miembro del grupo de investigación Grup Dedal-Lit, ENAS (European Network of Ageing Studies), TCAS (Trent U), y ACT (Montreal U). Ieva ha participado en diferentes proyectos de investigación en relación con la gerontología cultural y literaria, y ha colaborado como investigadora en varios proyectos internacionales. Durante sus estudios de doctorado recibió dos becas para realizar su investigación en la Universidad de Fribough (Suiza) y la Universidad de Peterborough (Canadá). Ieva ha presentado comunicaciones en congresos nacionales e internacionales y ha publicado artículos en revistas y volúmenes internacionales como Peter Lang, Societies, Life Writing, y Educational Gerontology. Sus áreas de investigación se centran en los estudios del envejecimiento, gerontología cultural, sexualidad, turismo y ocio, y los estudios de género. Así mismo, tambíen es miembro de Reviewer Board de la revista internacional Societies (ISSN 2075-4698), publicada trimestralmente por MDPI.
